The Annual Wellness Visit is different from a regular physical. A physical looks for what might be wrong right now. This visit is about staying ahead of problems before they start. During your visit, your provider will review your health history and current medications, talk through your personal risk for common conditions like heart disease, cancer, and type 2 diabetes, and build you a personalized checklist of screenings and preventive care for the year ahead. It’s also a good time to catch small issues before they become bigger ones.
