IHC Hamilton County WIC

The WIC Program (Women, Infants, and Children) offers services to women who are pregnant, new mothers in their early postpartum period, as well as support services to parents and caregivers of infants, and children to the age of 5. Indiana Health Centers’ WIC staff includes nurses, dietitians, lactation consultants, and nutrition assistants at no cost to those who qualify.

Carmen Duncan
WIC Site Supervisor

Carmen Duncan brings over a decade of experience to the WIC program. In addition to  a bachelor's degree in Maternal and Child Health, she has experience in a wide range of roles including Certified Lactation Specialist, and Nutritionist. Her dedication to supporting families and building strong, client-centered systems of care has remained at the heart of her work. 

 

As a site supervisor, Carmen leads with empathy, organization, and a strong understanding of both her team and the community. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and consistently advocates for clear, inclusive communication and equitable access for all WIC clients. Carmen works to create a supportive environment where both staff and families feel seen, heard, and empowered. 

Outside of work, Carmen is a proud mom of three boys, a plant enthusiast, and an avid runner who enjoys hiking, traveling with her family, and staying active outdoors.
