Women, Infant & Children (WIC) Services at IHC

The WIC Program (Women, Infants, and Children) offers services to women who are pregnant and new mothers in their early postpartum period, as well as support services to parents and caregivers of infants, and children to the age of 5. Indiana Health Centers’ WIC staff includes nurses, dieticians, lactation consultants, and nutrition assistants at no cost to those who qualify. Contact your local IHC WIC for assistance with the following:

  • Food assistance programs – supplemental healthy foods designed to meet special nutrition needs
  • Nutrition/health screening and assessment
  • Nutrition education and counseling
  • Breastfeeding promotion and support
  • Referrals to other Indiana health, family, and social services
